He raised an eyebrow. "If he's such a killjoy, why hang around him? Why bother letting him stay with you? Do you tolerate and like him that much?"
Charles asked, tilting his head. He must have done something or meant quite a lot to her if she was letting him stay with her. He was surprised that she didn't take the chance to ditch him. "But it is ultimately your choice. Very well. I will set the pair of you up with a room." It was something he could easily arrange. He was surprised she didn't seem so down after informing her that he was already taken. "Alright. I guess the sooner you can start the better. So uh....go on out there tiger and go get them?" [/blockquote][/blockquote] CREDIT SAM !? of Confronting the Faceless. Don't remove the credit or I will find you. Nina tugged at her bangs. "Well...he is a friend to my dad and...he's saved me quite a few times actually. He is easy enough to ditch. I've done it a lot. But I can't, in good conscience, leave him out in unfamiliar territory and hostile people...he's an old man." She shrugged. She may not like him breathing down her back all the time...but still, she wasn't one to treat an ally like total shit. She had her reasons to be grateful to him. She grinned however, that she could drive him crazy with how she was. She took amusement in his dislikes and sometimes instigated on these, just to see him upset despite the lectures she would get afterwards. "Yes. I should be on my way I suppose...Oh um...do you know a place I could maybe...get this looked at?" She pointed to the gash on her arm as she took off her jacket. Under it a tank top.

Ah! So that was the deed that kept the old man she grumbled about tied to her. He couldn't blame her now entirely. If someone had saved his life, he would owe them as well. Her words made him think briefly of Leah's own words about him and it caused him to smile faintly. It was about then she showed a wound she apparently had gotten after the tower crashed. "Actually. I do."
He motioned for her to follow. "There is a small faction that lives here in the city that goes by the name Followers of Apocalypse. Not sure why, but they do. In any case, they are the doctors in this here fair town, offering to patch people up for free and to help them get off drugs if they want. I visit them from time to time and help them out when I can. You are actually meeting sooner that I thought you would be." When he stepped outside, he noticed one of his men getting ready to knock on his door. The man jumped a little in surprise when he saw the door open and his eyes widened upon seeing Nina exit. Charles held up a hand before the man could speak. "It's alright. She'll be working off the debt for quite sometime and has apologized. She appears to have been wounded when the tower fell and I'm taking her to the Followers. We'll be back. Take care of the place in the meantime please?" He patted the man on the shoulder as he continued to move onward, making sure Nina was still following. "Hmm quite the lovely name they chose." She laughed a bit. Hopefully it wasn't as bad as it implied. Maybe a clean stuffy building and people just doing their job. She perked hearing 'free' that was a favorite word of hers. "Ah! I see. Well this will give me a chance to learn the layout around this area...though things like that...I know there are gonna be needles involved." She whined. She hated needles but sadly they were used a lot during these times. A stab from a knife didn't scare her as much as that hollow thin piece of metal. Weird, she knew that...She got out of her thoughts and squeaked to see all the men that had chased her down. She now smirked at them and winked at them. "Do as the pretty man says...for me?" She purred at the nearest man and grinned hearing a few growls. They weren't happy she smiled to herself and stopped and gave a bow to them...of course giving them a look down her tank top. "I'll be sure to make it up to you guys. I'll work hard. I promise." Silent stares she gave a wave to them and caught up to Charles a wide grin on her face.
