He wasn't sure where Nina had taken off to when they had first arrived in New Vegas, becoming slightly worried she would venture into trouble way over her head. Compared to her, he was an expert in the area though it had been years since he had laid eyes on the ruined buildings and upon familiar faces....if they still lingered about in the area. Old Fella made sure that the caravan they had traveled with paid him a few caps for his services rendured before he departed and headed off to Vegas himself. For a while, he roamed the perimeter of the city, pausing now and then to stare off into the horizon. Things physically did not change from what he could tell but it didn't take a rocket scientist to know that Vegas did change on a mental level so to speak.
He took a couple hours to gather rumors and word of what had passed over the years, his worry increasing upon learning that the Courier who had lead the battle for an independent Vegas had been shot dead and many believed the NCR had done the deed. But what really stuck out at him was that a red-head had caused a ruckus already and was now indentured to the Tops Casino. Old Fella had a feeling who it was and groaned, scouring the city for her. Eventually, he couldn't find her and left word at the Tops Casino that he was looking for her once the workers there confirmed she indeed work for them.
He sat down on the road near the entrance to Vegas waiting for her. They had a lot to talk about apparently and she hadn't even been in Vegas for what? An entire day or two?

Nina had been mostly getting to know people she'd be working with. More then anything she was happy to have gotten away with just a cleaning and a few bandages on her arm. She was quite enjoying her time when someone walked up to her and informed her of someone looking for her. She sighed and hung her head a bit. She knew who that was. Well at least she didn't have to slightly worry about him...and she could tell him that her great luck placed them in good with the boss. He couldn't get upset about that right? "Tch, yeah right...I can hear him now." She continued her grumbling til she spotted the shape in the distance. She paused briefly and sighed before bouncing back and walking over to him. "Heeeeeey Old man! Good to see you are doing alright." She gave a sheepish chuckle and wave...she was pretty sure he'd heard about her antics by now.

He watched people walk on past him while he waited. Some thought he was a bum and handed over a cap or two over to him upon which he stared up at them confused but stayed silent. It wasn't his fault they couldn't tell the difference and besides, who in their right mind gave back money when they desperatly needed it? He pocketed the caps and stretched, hoping to ease the pain that was starting to build in his lower back. Just as he was going to call it a day and head back to the Casino his young 'un now worked at, he heard footsteps running in his direction and glanced around before his eyes settled upon her.
Old Fella rose to his feet with a bit of struggle, dusting his pants once he was standing and fixed her with his trademark 'What did you do' stare once she stood before him. "I'm glad you are too. Been lookin' for a steady job but I see you beat me to it. I hear you ruined the tower of a casino and now work for them to pay off the debt." He crossed his arms.
"How did that happen young 'un?"

She knew that look from MILES away. That look that irked her and made her feel like a kid. That look that made her want to smack it off his face...but she might break one of his bones if she did that. She tugged at her bangs. "A-ah that...wow word travels fast don't it? Umm how to start...I just wanted to get a good look on the land was all...and SOME how...the tower fell over...ok fine so I climbed on it. Just to get a higher vantage point." She laughed a bit then started on the PLUS side of it all. "BUT! Over looking the large amount of money I owe to fix it...I was able to get us a place to stay! Even from the top man himself. I'll be working for him. Quite handsome and scuffy to boot." She looked else where a moment...didn't he say he was familiar with this area? She ran a hand through her hair. "Well at least I was able to get us a place to stay and some money right? I get the benefits of working directly with the boss man. Gotta be some perks to that hmm?" She gave a chuckle and smirk. Mostly to give him the wrong idea and piss him off that she'd be messing around with Charles. Though of course she wouldn't. Not with a taken man. Even she had lines she had to draw...that was a think line for her.

"Well no knew it was you per say. All anyone knows is some red-haired woman somehow knocked off the tower, took off and many suspect the new red head that popped up at the Tops is the same woman. But I know you Nina. I suspected it had been you." He replied calmly. He fell silent as he listened to her continue on about what took place and got the job. He scratched his chin and irritation when Nina mentioned that the top man of the Tops was scruffy.
"You be careful Nina. I know you and your damn weakness for those guys." Old Fella had to wonder if the angle of them staying at the Tops was her sleeping with him. The thought only fueled his irritation and her further words did not help.
"Probably but you ain't selling yourself for them right? RIGHT?" He stared at her to confirm that she had no plans on sleeping with him. "Your father wouldn't like that little one. I wouldn't like it." It was about then he noticed her bandaged arm.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Did he already hurt you?!"

"Ah well...it seems the few that actually saw the tower fall... won't be letting me forget that moment anytime soon. I guess I made quite the impression on people upon my arrival." She kinda smirked a bit but covered that up quickly when he started making a fuss about her having to be careful. And the part where she got him to think she was gonna sleep with the man. She couldn't help it and started laughing. She found it amusing to get the man so worked up. He pointed out her arm finding another opportunity to antagonize him. "Oh this? Actually it was from when the tower fell. It COULD have been so much worse. I mean the tower had just missed falling on me...All I got was this wound here. The doctor fixed me up. He is another one I think you'd LOVE to meet some day." She smiled with a hint of a smirk.

He could only stare at her, slightly confused as to what she was finding so amusing. Was she exaggerating something then perhaps? She often laughed when she did so when talking with him. But what was it exactly she was exaggerating about then? He wondered then if she was only joking about sleeping with her new Boss and inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. Good. How on earth was he going to explain to her father if she did?
"I'll take your laughing as a sign of you aren't going to. GOOD. The last thing you need is to be in a mess because you slept with your Boss." He laughed a little, more to mock her laughter earlier than anything.
"Well I am glad it wasn't much worse and that it all turned out alright." Old Fella smiled a little....until she mentioned the doctor. "Let me guess. He's a scruffy guy. Ninaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. What did I say about scuffy men? To be careful and that sometimes they aren't as nice as they seem. Remember that one guy you met in that one town? Hmmm?" He clasped his hands behind his back as he stared at her, rocked back a little on his heels, scowled and raised an eyebrow.

She snorted a bit. She HATED it when he read her...She sighed. "Well actually I'm sure you would like to know. CHARLES as he is called is a taken man. You know I don't dabble in taken men. That is a line I won't cross." Nina nodded her head. "Yep! You can thank my luck there that it turned out good. Or else you'd be dealing with a squished young 'un." She grinned at him when the doctor was mentioned but it turned into a slight growl when he did that THING he sometimes did. She REALLY hated when he did that. She bristled a bit at him. She may purposefully get him upset but he had this ability to be able to do the same back to her. "Ohhh I'd count that as a low bow you old goat. That was just a very small time when things got out of hand." She grumbled and used one of her boots to roll a rock around on the ground before giving it a slight kick.

"That makes it even better!" He could cry with joy upon hearing such news. Old Fella had to thank his lucky starts that Nina had some sense to not cross the line when a man was taken, whether married or dating. He was quite sure if Charles hadn't been, Nina would more than likely end up sleeping with him as considerably if he was as handsome and scruffy as Nina said he was.
"And yes, of course naturally I do thank your amazing luck to avoid getting seriously harmed. That is literally a miracle." It was his turn to grin as he heard her growl and let out a chuckle.
"Suuuuuuuure it was. In any case Nina, I am very serious about being careful. Now, what are you and I supposed to do to continue staying at the casino? I'm sure you roped me into it as well."

Nina gave him a bit of a hard look. Guess he didn't really know EVERYTHING about her...I mean going after taken men? That wasn't exactly right to do. Even she wouldn't go that low to get attention. "Otherwise, what is an old man to do if there is no one to stalk and creep after hmm?" She grinned at him. They may get on each others nerves but still, she appreciated the old man for having her back at least. Especially since leaving her home. She did miss her father and brother at times. She sighed a slight growl again. "I know, I know. I learned a bit from what happened last time I got in trouble. And YES! You will be able to work for the boss man too. As soon as you give him a run down of your skills. He'll find a use for you...and he set up up in one room." -_- They could deal with that. But that meant there wasn't gonna be any real place to get our of earshot of the old man. Lectures, LECTURES! Were probably gonna be none stop.
